Weekends can be tough, can't they? It can be hard to resist that third glass of wine or treats at a girls movie night, but it doesn't mean you have to miss out all together! Here's a few simple tips that will help you cut back calories without missing out on all the fun.
Swap your alcohol: You might not realise, but a glass of wine can have up to 160 calories, whereas a vodka, tonic and lime only has 68. Two for the cost of one, I think so!
Take healthy snacks: If you're heading over to a friend's for a party or to lounge about watching your favourite film, take along some healthy snacks like celery, carrot and hummus, rather than chips and creamy dips.
Choose smart: If you're dining out and not sure what to order look to meals that are braised, grilled and baked. Or if there is a soup option, go soup! And try to pass on the foods that use the words creamy, crunchy, battered or sautéed.
Don't forget exercise: We all know how hard it can be to get motivated on the weekends, but even if you go for a quick walk or take a morning yoga class, you'll burn calories, and I promise you will feel better for it.
