Celebrities, models and fashion insiders took over the Plaza Hotel in NYC for the 2013 amfAR Inspiration Gala today. Jennifer Lopez, dressed in a blue sequinned Tom Ford gown, was one of the event’s honourees, along with Valentino and Alan Cumming — Jennifer received her humanitarian award from US Vogue’s larger-than-life contributing editor André Leon Talley. The gala kicked off with cocktails, where models such as Lindsey Wixson, Nicole Trunfio and a newly-platinum blonde Candice Swanepoel mingled. There was also a fashion show before dinner, and a live auction, which raises money for amfAR. Carly Rae Jepsen changed out of her formal dress into a blue and black suit to perform for the star-studded crowd, and DJs Mia Moretti and Caitlin Moe aka The Dolls took over the event’s music entertainment for the rest of the night.

This year's Cannes Film Festival was a fashion delight, with arresting red carpet looks continuing right through the event's official closing ceremony. Nicole Kidman opted for another sleek, white dress to close things out, and Uma Thurman went big in a decadent metallic gown — there was even a pair of gilded wings to awe us! All the Stars at the Cannes Film Festival!
The Cannes Film Festival came to a close yesterday, with French film Blue Is the Warmest Colour taking out the coveted Palme D'Or prize, but the South of France was flooded with stars since it kicked off two Wednesdays ago. Orlando Bloom arrived on the weekend to promote his film Zulu and presented an award at the closing ceremony, while jurors Nicole Kidman, Christoph Waltz and Steven Spielberg headed into the ceremony as a group. Uma Thurman had her partner, Arpad Busson, on her arm for the closing ceremony as well, and last week Michael Douglas and Matt Damon were the talk of the international film extravaganza, promoting their film Behind the Candelabra. Over the past two weeks, other stars like Jessica Chastain, Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake and Alec Baldwin have also been getting in on the Cannes fun. Double Trouble: The Well-Dressed Duos of the 2013 Met Gala
The Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art never fails to bring out the big guns — after all, where else can A-list celebrities, designers, models, and fashion insiders rub elbows, in couture, in one place? For this year's Met Gala, fashion's finest converged to celebrate the "Punk: Chaos to Couture" exhibition, which will honour punk's impact on high fashion over the past three decades (and counting). As is customary for this event, celebrities and models arrive on the arms of their favourite designers, and hit the red carpet with their super-stylish significant others and fashionable friends — so we're rounding up the well-dressed duos (okay, there may be some trios thrown in there as well) from tonight's rock n' roll-inspired red carpet. Leonardo DiCaprio Debuts Django in NYC With Cameron Diaz's Support
Leonardo DiCaprio debuted Django Unchained in NYC yesterday. Leo was joined by his co-stars Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as director Quentin Tarantino, on the red carpet. Leo, who is currently filming The Wolf of Wall Street, also celebrated alongside pals Olivia Wilde, John Legend, Liv Tyler and Cameron Diaz. Leo and Cameron have been seeing a lot of each other lately, as they were spotted celebrating for charity in NYC back in November.
Django's premiere came just ahead of this morning's SAG nominations. Despite all the awards season buzz around the film, it received zero nominations. Nonetheless, early reviews for Django Unchained are excellent. Australian audiences will get to see Quentin's latest for themselves when it's released on Jan. 24.
Justin Timberlake Supports Jessica Biel at Her Big Premiere
Jessica Biel donned a long Versace gown on the red carpet at last night's NYC premiere of Playing For Keeps. She posed for photos solo, as did her co-stars in the film Gerard Butler and Uma Thurman. Later, though, Jessica had the company of her husband, Justin Timberlake. Jess changed into a hot mint-green Nina Ricci dress to hit the after-party with JT on her arm. Jessica and Justin have spent quite a bit of time in NYC since their Italian wedding back in October. She's done double promotional duty with two films out this season, Playing For Keeps and Hitchcock. In one interview, she opened up about the joys of life when you're married to a guy who can cook. Jessica Biel told Elle, "He bakes pies. He's Southern, so he's got all this influence from his grandma. He does a three-layer pie . . . and blueberry crunch cake, which is pretty unbelievable. It doesn't happen all that often, thank god. Otherwise, it would be a big problem."
Selena, Katy, and More — See Who Dazzled at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball
The annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball always draws a crowd of celebs in their black-tie best. This year, that crowd included Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and more of the Hollywood set who gathered at NYC's Cipriani last night to support UNICEF’s lifesaving efforts across the globe. Selena Gomez and Katy Perry both turned up the drama in their respective evening gowns — Selena in a gold-trimmed Dolce & Gabbana and Katy in a caped Naeem Khan confection. Meanwhile, Kate Mara brought the colour in a coral-hued, lace Jason Wu gown. To see who else wowed at last night's awards, keep clicking — then tell us your pick for best dressed in the comments.

It was a colourful night for the female attendees — Kate Mara donned orange Jason Wu, Uma Thurman picked a dark blue Atelier Versace gown, and Girls star Allison Williams picked a mint green Naeem Khan ensemble. The night was about doing good, and quite a bit of charity took place. Selena tweeted, "So proud to be a part of UNICEF — we raised 2.5 million dollars tonight!"
The Week in Pictures: John & Katy Date Night, Kim & Kanye, Emma Stone & More!
What a week! It started off on a bit of a sad note, with news of Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer's split breaking on Monday — he was spotted just two days later on the set of his new film, Noah. On happier notes, though, there were plenty of parties and cute romances playing right under our noses — the Elle Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration drew as big a crowd as ever, with stars like Robert Pattinson, Emma Watson, Emma Stone and more turning up to show their support. Katy Perry and John Mayer went on what looked to be a hot date for his 35th birthday — are they or aren't they?! — and smash-hit Aussie film The Sapphires debuted at the London Film Festival. But that's not even close to all of it — click through the gallery to catch up on all the action as it happened this week!
