Between new haircuts, updated styles, slicked locks and lots of ombré, hair certainly stole the show in this week's celebrity beauty round-up.

Between new haircuts, updated styles, slicked locks and lots of ombré, hair certainly stole the show in this week's celebrity beauty round-up. Nicole Richie set the pace with her first official appearance since she took a trip down fringe lane (hubby Joel Madden didn't notice — ah, men), while Kate Middleton mixed things up with wavier hair than usual (not to mention that pregnancy glow). But it wasn't all about hair. Isla Fisher totally stole the show at The Great Gatsby world premiere, thanks to her bright red lips and cats-eye liner — see that look and more when you click through!

This Week's Top 10 Celebrity Beauty Looks!

If there's one thing we know from looking at this week's beauty round-up, it's that the bold lip is a makeup trend that's here to stay.
Lara Bingle

If there's one thing we know from looking at this week's beauty round-up, it's that the bold lip is a makeup trend that's here to stay. Alexa Chung, Rihanna and Kristen Stewart let their lips do all the talking, and we think it totally paid off for them. Going all the way when it came to staying natural, Lara Bingle gave us a lesson in how to do nude makeup the right way — and her couldn't take our eyes off her beautiful ice-blue eyes as a result. French actress Berenice Marlohe went the other way with some seriously heavy eyeshadow playing up her big eyes, while Ashley Greene went for a soft and feminine look. One thing they all had in common? They all looked beautiful. Click through the gallery to see who rounds out the top 10 and copy the looks at home!

Yes, You Can Manage Your Unruly Hair

Anyone who has ever gotten a comb stuck in her hair while trying to wrestle out a knot knows: there is hair that can be a temporary nuisance, and then there's hair that never does what it's supposed to.

Anyone who has ever gotten a comb stuck in her hair while trying to wrestle out a knot knows: there is hair that can be a temporary nuisance, and then there's hair that never does what it's supposed to. So for hair like the latter, there's nothing that you can do aside from beating it into submission with a myriad of hot tools, correct? That's not actually the case, says stylist Vanessa Fernandez of the Butterfly Studio Salon in New York City. It's about what you put into your hair that counts. "I can't stress the need for good products enough," she says.

Quality products that enhance your hair instead of weighing it down will cut out the need for a blast of heat from your blow dryer. "You will need something ultra-moisturising" Fernandez says. Use an oil-based cleansing system that is especially formulated for super-dry hair, which tends to be the most unruly.

Follow up with a hair oil to inject more moisture and reduce frizz. And to enhance the waves you already have, Fernandez suggests finishing with a mousse. "Both products leave the hair shiny, moisturised, and with a good amount of hold without the stiffness," Fernandez says. See? You can have the hair you've always envied . . . without the strand-singeing end result.

Whose Side-Swept Curls Do You Like Best?

Like something out of a Hollywood movie from yesteryear, three celebrities have stepped out recently with delicately cascading, side-swept curls.

Like something out of a Hollywood movie from yesteryear, three celebrities have stepped out recently with delicately cascading, side-swept curls. Jessica Chastain stunned at the opening night of her play The Heiress with her fiery red hair done in tight waves. Kelly Osbourne wore her lavender locks in a looser, wavier version of the style, while Lucy Hale went for full, bouncy curls at the Country Music Association Awards. Each star put her own spin on the vintage-inspired coif, but if you had to choose, who did it best?

3 Quick Steps to Getting Wonder Waves Like Emma Stone

Newly-blonde Emma Stone was a vision of effortless beauty at the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards.

Newly-blonde Emma Stone was a vision of effortless beauty at the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards. Donning a pale pink lipstick and light-toned shadow, Emma topped her light-as-air look off with a pretty, softly waved style, which was the perfect balance between sweet and sultry. Learn how you can ride the waves, just like Emma, in three quick steps below.

  1. Hairstylist David Babaii prepped Emma's hair with mousse (he used IT&LY Pure Style Mousse but try his WildAid Amplifying Whipped Mousse, $23.50) and then divided her hair into three sections: the top, sides and back (leaving the nape portion free).
  2. Next, Babaii used a nozzled hairdryer and medium round brush to smooth the hair straight, working from the neck up.
  3. To finish, he took large sections of Emma's hair and wrapped the lower portions around a large barrel curling iron. Once the entire head was curled, Babaii spritzed Emma's strands with hairspray.
